Applying forthe Course
The KPG exams are held twice a year
- during the first 20 days of May
- during the first 20 days of November
The deadline by which candidates should submit their applications is fixed 2 - 3 months before the examinations, and is announced with a press release, on the KPG website.
The applications for attendance at the examinations should be sent by post or taken directly to the Offices of Secondary Education, of the country or place of residence of candidate.
In order to attend the examinations, the candidates should submit their application for attendance either independently, or via an educational institution, a centre of foreign languages etc.
The following supporting documents should also be supplied:
1. An application form for attendance which the candidate may obtain from their local Offices of Secondary Education or from the KPG website
2. A passport-sized photograph
3. The state fee. The candidate can find out the level of fees from any Public Economic Service. Currently the fees for each level are as follows:
- 40 Euros for level A (both A1 'elementary knowledge' and A2 'basic knowledge') in one combined graded test.
- 50 Euros for level B1 'mediocre knowledge'
- 60 Euros for level B2 'good knowledge'
- 70 Euros for level C1 'very good knowledge'
- 80 Euros for level C2 'excellent knowledge'
he fees are collected for the State according to KAE 3741.
4. A photocopy of two forms of police identity or a passport (the pages which show elements of identity as well as the photograph) or other legal forms of identity, for example, a birth certificate.
5. A photocopy of the Leave to Remain (for foreign candidates for whom it is required).
Candidates wishing to be examined under the category of Individuals with Special Needs (AMEEA) should bring, (in addition to the above supporting documents), the following:
- Candidates with physical disabilities (problems with seeing,hearing or reason) should submit (apart from the above supporting documents)certification from a public hospital, confirming their particular disability,as well as their desire to be examined with other candidates.
- Candidates with special learning difficulties (dyslexia etc) should submit (apart from the above supporting documents) a special assessment report from either the Centre for Diagnosis Evaluation and Support (KDAY), or from the Medical Training Service of the Ministry of Health that has been certified by YPEPTH.
After submitting their application the candidates will receivetheir examination details with all their personal information, and their Candidate Code, with which they should bring to the examinations.
Candidates wishing to apply to be examined in more than one language are personally responsible for checking timetable availability, since itis possible that the examinations may either occur at the same time, or be held at examination centres in different locations.
